Project HopeBox
giving hope, one shoebox at a time
Fill a Shoebox for Someone in Need!
Every year we partner with Hope's Door New Beginning Center, to help families escaping domestic violence and abuse in our community. A little shoebox filled with love has a big impact. Imagine if you had to go to an emergency shelter with nothing but the clothes on your back and when you walked in, they handed you a shoe box, decorated and filled with items that gave you HOPE.
Here’s how you can help! It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. PICK UP A SHOEBOX from the table or use one that you have at home! Have a lot of shoeboxes at home? Feel free to bring empty ones for others to take!
2. FILL THE SHOEBOX with personal care items and other items that would be a blessing to someone (man, woman, or child). Suggested items include: toiletries, socks, underwear, make-up, small toys, gift cards, snacks, a personal note, flip-flops, journals, etc… We encourage you to decorate your shoebox or wrap it (please wrap it so that the lid will still open) and to include a note of encouragement!
3. RETURN YOUR SHOEBOX to Canyon Creek Project with a sticky note on top to let us know what gender/age your box is designed for by Dec 2nd. Please also include a sticky note with a brief list of what is inside.
Invite your family, friends, and coworkers to fill a shoebox too!
